Description:

IMPORTANT NOTE: I have found that in File Manager Thunar, the icons display the wrong sizes and the text is offset. I have only found this in Thunar. I have tested these in Nautilus, PCmanFM, SpaceFM, Nemo and Caja.
I am working to resolve this; ...and open to suggestions...
UPDATE: Fix for icon text being offset: In terminal, please run:

xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /desktop-icons/center-text -n -t bool -s false

It turns out this was an issue with Murrine engine and XFCE. I am relieved to know it wasn't something I screwed up. :D

UPDATE: repaired flaw in libreoffice icons, apps folder. Sorry that it took me so long to notice it. LibreOffice .svg icons should now scale and render properly.
UPDATE: fix for nautilus and Software Center icons.

A long, long time ago, back when men lived and died by the sword and lived in castles, J.J. Ying created the Azenis Windowblinds theme, 2006 championship winner for Windows (XP).
The theme scrolled across peoples eyeballs for a while, before being ported to KDE by EZY.
This was ported to Gnome by JamesHardy88.
The theme used Dar0ckX's "The Preface of the Cyan Magic" icons.
Here, I have EXpanded that Icon set, arranging it with a modern index and folder system to work on current machines. Some icons have been changed, (For example the Games, Recents folders) and some icons have been added. This EXtended set includes scalable Scalar Vector Graphics (.svg) icons for scalable rendering.

This download is for the Icon Theme. This does not include the full Azenis theme. (However, I am working on the Full GTK3+ Azenis theme and progress has been made in creating a Gtk3+ Azenis theme, visible in the final image above. There you can see the AzenisXFMi window at the very back and the GTK3+ AzenisEXg windows in the front.
It is not yet complete and is currently working only for 3.18. I am hoping to get it working and completed in at least 3.24 soon.)
Also included, Window Manager theme, AzenisEXi Azenis EXpanded titlebar and titlebuttons similar to my AzenisXFMi set- These 'close their eyes" when insensitive, or in the background. This is visible in all photos.

To Install:
Extract contents of "AzenisEX Icons" to your /usr/share/icons folder using root permissions.
Extract contents to ~/$USER/.icons

To install XFWM theme:
Extract contents of "AxenisEXi" to your /usr/share/themes folder using root permissions.
Extract contents to ~ /$USER/.themes

To apply, Open Settings, Appearance,Icon Tab and select AzenisEX icons from the list.
Open Settings, XFWM Window Manager, select AzenisEXi from themes list.

Please comment or email aravisian@protonmail.com and let me know if icons are broken, not showing up etc. I will examine the uploaded set and see if I can fix.

Really happy to see we are emerging from this drunken stupor that is the everything flat. This is my all time favorite icon theme.
Keep up the good work.

You mean ports from KDE to Gnome /Xfce? I left Windows and joined Linux a few months ago. I had never even heard of .css or theming. I am trying to catch up. I came across some themes I liked only to discover they were before my time. I said, "the he11 with that..." and sought bringing them back. But there is much I do not know and I am quite novice. But keep asking; ask on forums, ask on gnome-look... I will look into those themes and see if I don't bite off more than I can chew. The AzenisEX you see in the images took me several months to build; had to start fresh and make it a piece at a time. Learning css is not that hard. Understanding it is. Especially with a certain gnomish entity deliberately changing the rules often in order to secure their own brand image...

I can understand that creating a gtk theme is not easy! Maybe somebody else will do it.
I meant that Azenis was ported only as an Emerald theme but it is not available for KDE Plasma 5.
Anyways, your icon set is amazing!

What is making it "not easy" is that I need to make the 3.18, 3.20, 3.22, 3.24 versions... and now also working on 3.36 anticipating that gtk4 will be released by the end of the year... Bangin my head on the wall. I have them all most assembled but all have bugs I am working on.
KDE- I have never used KDE and I have no idea how theming works in KDE. Ezy, who had originally ported Azenis2 to KDE (3, I think?) had commented on one of the window borders I made here. I had told him "challenge accepted." I have not actually started on it, yet... given the whole , 3.18, 3.20, 3... yeah that thing.
Maybe I will grab a copy of SolydK and try familiarizing myself with it and take a look, see if I can screw it up or not.

10 Nice theming! I'd only change the Libreoffice icons to have different colors for contrast, but others would probably disagree. This reminds me of the Flat No More icons in their lack of flatness (a feature becoming a rarity these days). I've often asserted the best (i.e., most unique) themes are lost to the past (i.e., obsolete/deprecated). Themes like this just prove my point.

I agree wholeheartedly. The flat paper icons and uniformity has driven me nuts. If you say themes like this make your point, I hope others will take up the challenge to introduce their creativity or Modifications/resurrections, as well. Let's fight back, now, shall we?
Can you give some idea of what color contrast you had in mind on the LibreOffice icons? An example, maybe? There are not many, so I could probably hammer out a set for you no problem.

Positive feedback is good- But Critical Feedback is also very welcome, too. And you're welcome. Originally... I had hoped to do a kind of ten year anniversary run on the whole thing. But I didn't make it in time, so trying to get things out there a piece at a time, now. Also currently working on updated AzenisEX themes for gtk 3.18 through 3.36, Cinnamon and Cinnamenu themes to match, and a couple all original work theme projects. Because... It's FOSS.
It's what FOSS is all about.
Once you download it, it is Yours to do with as you please. Share it, redistribute it, toss it away... Get Creative. Be Inspired. Modify it, improve on it, Keep FOSS ALIVE!
And thanks for stopping by the page to remind those of us that still believe in FOSS that we have a reason to keep on believin.'
